daily SPF: Elta MD v.s. Tula
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46
Okay this stuff is GOOD. EltaMD is clean, effective, and creates skincare with protecting you and your skin in mind. This daily SPF protects your skin from UVA and UVB rays while also moisturizing your skin with sodium hyaluronate and refining your skin by clearing your pores and reducing shine with lactic acid. I have naturally oily skin and am prone to breakouts, and within weeks of using this product I have seen a big difference in how clear my skin is. This daily SPF is formulated for all skin types, but if you have oily skin I highly recommend this product because it is formulated with niacinamide to aid with acne prone skin. The formula is lightweight and you can wear it alone or with makeup. It has a slight initial white cast, but soaks in your skin quickly. This SPF is formulated without fragrance, but the light scent is not my favorite, but this product is too good not to continue to use despite the smell. PLUS, they make their SPFs in tinted versions! All in all, I highly recommend this product for anyone. This is my favorite daily SPF!!
Tula Skincare Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30
Such a pretty glow while protecting against the sun's harmful rays! Tula Skincare is clean skincare formulated with probiotics and superfoods. Tula has been a much loved skincare brand from numerous bloggers across social media. This daily sunscreen not only protects against UVA and UVB rays, but it also protects against the harmful blue light that we are constantly surrounded by. We live in a time where our phones and screens are glued to our faces. This sunscreen applies so beautifully to your skin giving it a pretty pearly glow. It has absolutely no white cast and soaks in your skin quickly. Formulated without any fragrance, the natural scent is light and refreshing. Plus your makeup will apply so nicely over this sunscreen!
You can't go wrong with either as they are both great options and are very comparable in price, however the Tula Sunscreen provides more hydration than the EltaMD SPF and gives you a dewier look. If you have naturally oily skin like I do, it can look a little too dewy for me. Both are great options for lightweight sunscreens to add into your daily skincare routine, but if you have oilier skin, I recommend the EltaMD SPF and if you have drier skin I recommend Tula Skincare Sunscreen.
I have linked both sunscreens at Dermstore.com below!
You are beautiful, let's keep your skin that way too!
